Conservatives in the Tettenhall area of Wolverhampton have welcomed news that major repairs are to be carried out on more than a hundred council properties. The houses and flats on the Tettenhall Wood Estate will undergo roof repairs over the next six months.
As part of the Decent Homes programme, contractor Wates have been engaged to undertake the roofing programme on approximately 120 houses and 60 flats on the Estate.
Tettenhall Regis Conservative Councillor Barry Findlay welcomed the start of the work, which is due to be completed in January 2016.
"This is excellent news and brings much needed investment into the estate,” said Councillor Findlay. “The roofing improvement work is one of the final stages to the Decent Homes project and I very much welcome the work taking place."
The work is being managed by Wolverhampton Homes
