The news comes in a report before the Council's cabinet this week which states that the work can be done around the Grand Slam of Darts which is due to return to Wolverhampton for the ninth year running this November.
Conservative Deputy Leader Councillor Paul Singh said preserving the Grand Slam was a priority for anyone wishing to raise and hold up the City's profile:-
"The Grand Slam is one of the biggest events in professional darts after the world championships and it really puts Wolverhampton on the map once it is networked on television and on the Internet in this country and abroad. It also attracts players and fans from all over the world, so it was really worth preserving the event in the City if at all possible."
